crazy baseball life

Hey everyone!!! Sorry it has been so long... it has been an amazing/crazy week! Here is the deal:

Dennis got a phone call last Sunday at 2pm saying the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim bought his contract and he had a flight at 6pm that day. (Side note: his parents, sister, brother-in-law, nephew, my dad, and uncle were in town to watch him play) He found out in the morning he got picked up so he did not play in the game and found out that afternoon that he had a flight that evening. So we unfortunately ditched the family at linner (in between lunch and dinner) and packed up his stuff and headed to the airport to send him off!! He played the next day in San Bernardino with his new team, The Inland Empire 66ers.

Meanwhile, back in Jersey my father convinced me that it would be a good idea to drive our car back to California (ps. my uncle and dad literally just drove our car to jersey from northern California like 2 days earlier). So off we went. Us 3 drove to indianapolis on monday and dropped of my uncle at the airport tuesday morning and headed to the next stop. Thing is.... halfway through the drive we decided that the next stop was going to be San Bernardino. Dennis had a game on Wednesday at 11am at the stadium and my dad was determined to see the game. So after much coffee, solving all the worlds problems, singing, chatting, and awkward head bobbing naps we arrived at the hotel to eat and shower before the game. We were some serious road warriors driving 30 hours straight to see my husband play some baseball. You can call us die hard fans ;)

My dad left the next day to head back to Sacramento and Dennis and I now had a list of things to do. We first started apartment hunting and quickly moved in on Friday. We had to do a lot of paperwork, an oil change, health insurance, get necessities to live (target of course), all while Dennis had to be at the field everyday at 1pm. He is a champ.

Although it has been a crazy week I am glad to say we are happy as clams and all moved in! Welcome to our crazy baseball life! :)

And yes...this is considered all moved in! :)
