So on thursday afternoon we decided to pack up and plan a mini road trip back to Sacramento, California. We are going to vegas, the grand canyon, salt lake city, and then to Sac-a-tomatoes. We are pretty much professional packers, so we left friday morning for Vegas. Which is where I am currently blogging from! Oh did I mention that Grandma June (Dennis's grandma) is a BOSS! Dennis happened to call her Thursday and see if she could exercise her "connection" at the Bellagio for Friday and Saturday night.... and lets see about an hour later we have a reservation AT THE BELLAGIO, during the busiest time in vegas (march madness), for the most sought after nights! UM HELLO she is too legit to quit. THANKS GRANDMA JUNE! :)
So we got to vegas yesterday and had a great day. We got situated in our hotel and I finished some homework (lame-o). Then we got ready and went to dinner at this place called Fix. Holy expensive, but it was delicious. We had proscuitto wrapped dates stuffed with chorizo, mac and cheese sticks with truffle oil, and kobe beef sliders with parmesan garlic fries...how could we go wrong! We then finished up with some gambling and a stop into sephora! I got Murad face wash and bobbi brown corrector. I am excited to use them and I will let you know if they are a must buy!
Today we started with room service and we felt like royalty! We had coffee, oatmeal, mixed berries with whipped cream, and chocolate chip pancakes. Did I mention that we love food? Then I had to do a midterm for school. poop. Now we are off to the gym then shopping, gambling, basketball games, dinner, and the show LOVE! Can't wait. Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend!

Today is a new day
Yesterday just happened to be the longest day ever. Awesome. But after we got the news we went to Starbucks and started brainstorming....
Lets go to vegas! And the grand canyon. Might as well stop in Sedona and get a massage. We could go through Denver on the way. Oh and I think Utah is around the corner. Okay lets do it all?? ok!!
Dennis then said, "lets live like we get released everyday!" and that is now the motto! I mean why not?!?! Dennis wants to gamble so he bribed me saying I can buy whatever I want. I'm not sure he knows that I actually have a "want list." shhhhhh. Everyone has a want list right?? Here is mine....
Silk Pillow case
Philosophy micro exfoliating wash
Bobbi Brown Corrector
Mac Prep and Prime
Better Life Bag
Hello T-Shirts
Polka Dot Converse
Jean shorts
Kate Spade watch
Birch box
AG Lightwash jeans

New Adventure
Soooo remember how I mentioned we were waiting to hear where we were heading for season in my last post?? I was not planning on telling everyone everything about our life....but we decided (Dennis included) that we are okay with being honest about our lives and want to share our successes as well as our challenges with you all..... so with that said....
The Kansas City Royals unfortunately released my husband today. (For those who do not know baseball terms- he is no longer associated with the Kansas City Royals). Now it is a waiting game. We wait to see if any affiliated teams want to pick him up (Major League Organizations) and lay out all our options. Independent ball is the next option and if playing overseas ever came up that would be an option as well. So that is where we are at.
It is scary hearing the words released- but we are looking at it in a positive way. Dennis wants to continue to play baseball and that is what we are going to do. It has been an uphill battle for him since he has been injured in the past, but we both look at this as a challenge. We (mostly him, I'm here for morale support) both want to decide when baseball is over and he will fight before he lets anyone decide that for him. So for now, baseball is NOT over and we will be figuring out the next adventure shortly. We are excited to see what is next.

Oh Hello!
Lets just start with a little background on what the heck is going on with this blog!
1. I am from Sacramento, California
2. My husband is from Hollywood (don't be confused), Florida
3. We met at the University of Miami (he played baseball and I played soccer-match made in sports heaven right?!)
4. We just got married on January 11, 2014 (eeeeek! Best day of my life)
5. Dennis and I both have two older sisters and amazing families (we could not have lucked out more in the family department)
I am currently getting my masters online because my husband plays professional baseball and we are constantly traveling. We are currently in Phoenix, AZ for spring training and should find out where we are heading to season soon! (We are hoping for Arkansas!) Once we get there he has 142 games to play in about 152 days, so life can get a little crazy! We are living in the moment and having fun while doing it!
I can't wait to get this blog going! I am going to figure it out along the way and post what seems fitting each week, so it will be a surprise to the both of us!
Bring it on monday! Have a great week everyone!
